I have been connected to Academy since the very beginning when my former roommate, Matt Peterson, and JB, the President and Founder, started the brand in the Fall of 2002. I first got on an Academy board in 2004, when I was officially put on the team. It has been an amazing 20 years to get to where we are now. To still be involved with Academy as an owner, rider, photographer and team manager has been a dream. Being able to design our boards at the best snowboard factory in the world, and help run the company with people who are truly as passionate about snowboarding as myself is what it’s all about for me. We’ve been making our Academy boards out of the Never Summer Factory in Colorado for the last four years, and I can truly say I would never ride a different board. Our camber-focused boards are some of the best in the world!
